The Science Of Massage

“Getting a massage,” seems like a very straight-forward solution to physical pain, but it is much more complex than it seems. We first need to understand the factors behind the everyday stress and/or chronic pain that we experience. When we dive into the root of our pain, we understand how stressors affect our muscles, nervous system, connective tissue, joints, etc. Then, we look to understand how massage and bodywork aid our bodies and bring them back to a more functional state.

With an education background in Kinesiology, Robert examines the underlying factors thoroughly with each client and works with them to develop the best possible treatment options. Robert completes this process by asking intake questions and assessing the client’s needs. This process has been proven to result in more effective sessions, treatments, and overall results. While going through the treatment, clients are offered valuable information to prevent flare-ups and increase body awareness.
